Arthritis
Arthritis is a degenerative joint disease in which articular cartilage is progressively broken down. It is frequently accompanied by changes to the bone and soft tissue, along with severe inflammation.

General treatment procedure for your horse
Simple, fast and gentle – directly with your horse.
Preparation of materials
Treatment on-site or at a veterinary clinic: veterinarians must warm the required materials to 39 °C in our RegMed thermal bag 8 hours before the treatment. At the start of the procedure, your horse receives standard sedation.
Cleaning & disinfection
To ensure the highest level of safety, the tail region is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, following standard veterinary protocols.
Local anaesthesia & minimal incision
Veterinarians administer a local anaesthetic at the croup and open the skin with a minimal incision.
Preparation for harvesting
The fat harvesting procedure is prepared using the sterile components provided by us.
Stem cell harvesting
Warmed saline solution is alternately injected through the cannula and the fat including the stem cells is aspirated. The collected biological material (approx. 100 ml) is transferred into a storage syringe.
Processing in the mobile device
The storage syringe is inserted into our mobile device. The control of all substance flows (saline solution, biological material) is carried out fully automatically by our system. Cell processing is completed in less than five minutes.
Extracting the concentrate
Within five minutes at the latest, the stem cell concentrate (approx. 7 ml) can be removed from the filter housing. The concentrate can either be injected directly into your horse or stored appropriately.
Regeneration begins
Your horse can recover from the sedation in its stable. Immediately after the injection, the stem cells begin the regeneration process. This may take several weeks – similar to conventional therapy.
