Your horse's health is our mission
Does your horse suffer from osteoarthritis, ligament and tendon problems, lameness, and wound healing issues?
How is your horse doing at the moment? Do you sometimes find yourself lacking a suitable treatment option for your horse?
Give regenerative medicine using the body's own stem cells a chance. Your horse deserves it.
How exactly can RegMed help your horse?
Many horses suffer from osteoarthritis, lameness, tendon or ligament problems, or poorly healing wounds. RegMed offers an innovative way to activate your horse’s own stem cells and their regenerative powers and support healing processes in a natural way.
Stem cells: Pluripotent autologous stem cells can develop into almost all types of tissue, such as cartilage, ligament, and muscle tissue. Our novel method is based on this long-standing scientific knowledge, which enables the cell-friendly, rapid, and sterile concentration of stem cells. RegMed can obtain a high concentration of the body’s own stem cells (ADSC) in a natural habitat (environment) using purely fluid mechanics and make them available to your horse within a few minutes for treatment of the affected region.
The minimally invasive treatment with RegMed uses the horse’s own stem cells to regenerate damaged tissue – without the use of foreign cells of unknown origin or immunological risks.
To do this, your horse is lightly sedated and given a local anesthetic. The extraction site is cleaned and disinfected. A small incision is made in the skin so that the fat extraction cannula, which is approximately 2 mm in diameter, can be inserted. The stem cells are extracted from the fat deposit in the croup completely painlessly using the cannula and saline solution heated to body temperature.
This mixture is prepared sterile at the point of care by our mobile machine and made available to your veterinarian within a few minutes for injection or storage. Wound aftercare is limited to covering the incision and regular visual inspection.
The actual cell processing technology takes place inside a special silicone tube and a biodegradable multi-stage filter system developed by us. The entire system is sterile and easy to use.
Unlike existing products for stem cell treatment in horses, our concept provides veterinarians with gently and sterilely prepared stem cells that continue to live in their natural habitat of messenger substances, cells, etc. without posing any immune risk to your horse.
The specific success of treatment in a horse depends on a number of factors:
- Biological age of the patient
- Quality and quantity of the cells removed or re-injected
- Concentration of stem cells
- Preservation of the habitat
- Genetic predisposition and previous damage to the patient
- Infections, etc.
Therefore, the expected success of treatment should always be based on statistical statements, but not in the sense of a “guarantee” for a specific horse. However, a large number of medical studies that have already been successfully conducted (both in human medicine and veterinary medicine) justify our treatment approach.
The recovery time is comparable to that of treatments that only alleviate the symptoms.
The costs for stem cell treatment using our concept are in line with the usual range for comparable treatments.

General treatment procedure for your horse:
Step 1
Treatment on site or at a veterinary clinic: The veterinarian must warm the necessary materials to 39°C in our RegMed heat bag 8 hours before treatment. Your horse will receive standard sedation at the start of treatment.
Step 2
To ensure maximum safety, the tail region is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The usual veterinary standards are applied for this purpose.
Step 3
The veterinarian administers a local anesthetic in the croup and opens the skin with a minimal incision.
Step 4
Preparation for fat removal using sterile components provided by us.
Step 5
Alternately inject the heated saline solution through the cannula and aspirate the liposuctioned fat, including the stem cells. Transfer the collected biological material (100 ml in total) to a storage syringe.
Step 6
The storage syringe is inserted into our mobile machine.
Our system controls all material flows (saline solution, biological material) fully automatically.
The cells are processed in less than five minutes.
Step 7
After five minutes at the latest, the stem cell concentrate (approx. 7 ml) can be removed from the filter housing. The concentrate can either be injected directly into your horse or stored appropriately.
Step 8
Your horse can recover from the sedation in its stall. Once the injection has been administered, the stem cells begin the regeneration process, which—similar to conventional treatment—can take several weeks.
